Terms of Service
Last updated 21 July 2026
These are the rules for using this website and the newsletter. By signing up or using the site, you agree to them.
Who you're dealing with
This site and newsletter are operated by Lock & Load Finance ("we," "us"). "You" means you.
What this is
A financial newsletter, published for information and education. It is not investment advice. Please read the disclaimer in full — it is part of these terms and it governs how you should treat everything we publish.
You need to be an adult
You must be 18 or older to subscribe. If you're subscribing for a company, you're confirming you're allowed to agree to this on its behalf.
The subscription
The newsletter is currently free. We may introduce paid tiers later. If we do, we'll tell subscribers before it happens, and nobody gets charged without agreeing to it first and being shown the price and the billing cycle.
We don't promise a specific number of issues, a specific send time, or that any particular feature will keep existing. We aim to send the Watchlist every two weeks and we take that seriously, but a missed send is not a breach of contract.
Leaving
Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email. It takes one click and it works immediately. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
What you may and may not do with our writing
Everything we publish — the words, the layout, the name, and the logo — belongs to us or is used with permission.
You may: read it, print it for yourself, and quote a short passage with credit and a link.
You may not: republish issues in full, forward them systematically to a group, run them through a scraper or an AI training pipeline, sell them, or share your access with a distribution list. One subscription is for one person.
If you'd like to reprint something properly, ask. We usually say yes.
Using the site
Don't attack it, don't scrape it, don't try to break into it, don't sign other people up without their permission, and don't impersonate us. Any of those ends your access immediately.
Ending your access
We can suspend or end your subscription at any time, with or without a reason. If you've paid for a period you don't get to use because we ended it without cause, we'll refund that part.
No warranty
The site and the newsletter are provided "as is." We don't warrant that they'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected to the site or the newsletter is capped at the greater of US$100 or what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages.
Some places don't allow these limits. Where that's true, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here removes a liability that cannot legally be removed.
You cover us for your own misuse
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the site or our content, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the courts of the United States, and we both agree to that.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll say so in the newsletter. Carrying on as a subscriber after that means you accept the new version.
Odds and ends
If a court strikes out part of these terms, the rest still stands. If we don't enforce something straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. These terms, plus the privacy policy and the disclaimer, are the whole agreement between us.
